DataSolutions UK Partner Edge 2023: A Day of Networking, Innovation and Celebration

Against the iconic backdrop of London's skyline, featuring landmarks like St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Shard, DataSolutions hosted its 2023 UK Partner Edge event, a gathering that brought together our valued partners and vendors under one roof. It was an afternoon that combined tech and trends discussions, networking and in true DataSolutions style, plenty of socialising and fun. 

The event kicked off at noon with a drinks reception, sponsored by Vercara. Soon after, our guests were seated and an hour of presentations began. Francis O’Haire, Group Technology Director at DataSolutions, opened the event with his much-anticipated talk on key technology trends for the coming year. Whilst we're keeping the details under wraps for now, stay tuned for Francis’ upcoming blog about his trends for 2024 and beyond.  

A leisurely lunch followed, complete with flowing wine and beer and sparking lively conversations. Everyone agreed that the Swan Restaurant at Bankside, adjacent to the Shakespeare Globe theatre, was the perfect setting for this event.

Brining new and long-standing vendors to the channel

We were thrilled to introduce both new and long-standing vendors to the event: IGEL, Citrix, Vercara, ControlUp, Asigra, Flexible and Jscrambler. This annual flagship event is crucial for DataSolutions to show appreciation for our partners' ongoing business and support, to present new vendors and to discuss emerging opportunities.

David Keating and Brian Davis each spoke about the vendors within their security and cloud divisions at DataSolutions, respectively, giving key insights and updates. A special mention goes to Justin Thorogood from IGEL for his 'All I Want for Christmas is...' presentation, highlighting how IGEL technology is delivering across key verticals in healthcare, finance, retail, manufacturing and government.

More than just presentations, our UK Partner Edge was about networking opportunities. Partners interacted with the DataSolutions team, vendors and their peers. The positive and sparkling atmosphere that filled the room was palpable; it was more like a gathering of friends and family than a corporate event, reflecting our commitment and our strong relationships with our channel partners.

We were completely overwhelmed with the glowing feedback from all attendees – simply too many to quote here. But it was clear from our partners’ and vendors’ responses that the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Thank you to IGEL for sponsoring the exclusive Microbarbox gifts for our partners, a gesture that was appreciated and added to the day's success. As the evening progressed, several partners stayed back, enjoying extended networking and socialising.

Reflecting on the UK Partner Edge event, what truly stands out is the deep sense of community and collaboration that defines our relationship with our partners.

Looking ahead to 2024, we are excited to continue this journey with our partners, exploring new opportunities and reaching new heights. The UK Partner Edge 2023 event marked a timely milestone as we enter a new phase with Climb Global Solutions. We're optimistic about the future and grateful to have our channel partners with us.
