DataSolutions, the leading IT solutions distributor, today announces that it won the 2017 Distributor of the Year Award in front of an audience of 650 people at the Irish Tech Excellence Awards in the Citywest Hotel on May 18th.
Now in its 17th year, the Tech Excellence Awards recognises excellence in the design, implementation and support of technology solutions and services.
The west Dublin-based IT solutions distributor fought off strong competition in its sector, earning the award via a poll of resellers and others in the industry in recognition of its outstanding business performance and customer service.
Voters recognised Data Solutions’ significant business achievements throughout 2016, as well as its recent €5 million investment and expansion into the UK market. The company has signed a number of partnerships with leading vendors in the UK, including Nutanix and Cohesity, and is looking to replicate its success in Ireland in the competitive UK market.
In proposing Data Solutions for the 2017 Distributor of the Year Award, voters also noted the company’s annual IT security event, The Secure Computing Forum. The Secure Computing Forum is Ireland’s largest annual conference dedicated to IT security. Last year’s event was attended by over 400 people from a range of industries.
Speaking at the event, Michael O’Hara, managing director, Data Solutions, said: “The Tech Excellence Awards is Ireland’s pre-eminent technology awards programme. We are humbled to receive this award for three of the last four years. The Data Solutions’ team is absolutely chuffed as it is a real endorsement of the service we provide from those who know it best – our reseller customers and partners.
“We are exceptionally proud of our great relationships with our resellers and vendor partners, and this award highlights our ongoing commitment to both our customers and the market. We continue to expand our portfolio of disruptive technologies in the areas of mobility, security, networking, enterprise cloud, and unified communications to help resellers, vendors and end-user companies in Ireland and the UK stay ahead of their competition.”
